The Path Was Already Open

Rebirth is real, but not as a self moving life to life. The Buddha described it as continuity without identity.

The pattern continues, but no one goes.

What carries is not a person, but the tendencies of mind. The Buddha spoke of it simply as continuity without a self.

Like one flame lighting another. The warmth continues, but no one travels.

What continues is how awareness rests, the tone of the heart, the quiet inclination of the mind, the movements that have not yet completed.

This is why certain teachings and certain places feel like home.

Not remembered. Recognized.

Field recognizes field. Mind recognizes mind. Awareness recognizes awareness.

No story is needed. The story would only be ego trying to hold form.

So when the mind says, “Maybe I was there before.” “Maybe I was part of the lineage.” And tells the story of the past. We bow gently: Perhaps. Perhaps not. It changes nothing.

The recognition now is real.

There is nothing to gain, nothing to become, nothing to return to.

Just to walk where the sky is wide and the mind is already open.

No urgency. No performance. No one going anywhere.

Just awareness meeting awareness.

Simple. Quiet. True.
